Most customers use with a Farmo tank or pressure sensor to switch their pump on and off. The sensor and the controller do not have to be in proximity, both elements are connected to the cloud so they can be hundreds of kilometers apart. And it doesn't have to be a pump that you are controlling, it can be any device that is plugged in to the 15A 240V single-phase power point, (providing it is safe to switch on remotely).

The Farmo Fuel Tank Level Monitor will measure and report the depth of fuel in your tank every 4 hours. Get alerts sent directly to your phone or PC whenever the water level drops. Installs in 5 minutes using the stainless steel bracket provided.
There must be an opening in the top of fuel tank to facilitate the installation of the sensor. A 2" Y-stariner and gland are fitted before shipment to allow easy installation on site.

Farmo's Circuit State Alert is a is simple to install on a low voltage circuit and will send alerts whenever that circuit is opened or cloded. Seek advcie from your electrician before installing.
Data is sent via NB-IoT which is the long-range, low-cost version of 4G for IoT devices. The signal for NB-IoT travels further than 3G/4G, so if your mobile phone has any reception on site, then NB-IoT devices will work there.
