Gencove has developed a low-pass sequencing platform designed for high-throughput, low-cost genomics applications. In agriculture, low-pass sequencing allows for scalable genomic selection and marker-assisted breeding; moving to sequencing dramatically simplifies operations and enables the collection of orders of magnitude more data from every sample. Gencove was founded by leading scientists from them New York Genome Center.
